What is Semi-permanent make-up

Permanent make-up is the art and application of custom colour blended pigments inserted into the dermal layer of skin to create a natural eyebrow, soft subtle eyeliner or a fuller lip colour.

Semi-permanent make-up is considered permanent, since implanted pigment cannot be washed away, however the colour will fade in time, how long depends upon the individual, the colours chosen, the clients lifestyle and most of all exposure to the sun.

This is why a colour boost is recommended every 12 - 18 months in order to maintain fresh looking colour. Imagine the benefits of having your make-up in place all of the time day after day; not only can this treatment enhance the features you already have, it can also make smaller eyes look bigger, thin lips to become fuller and eye brows can be raised or altered to give the shape you always wanted, even giving the effect of a mini eye lift.

Before booking an appointment a patch test is required and a £50.00 deposit to be paid.

Treatment procedure

A topical anaesthetic is used to numb the area while we go through the consultation forms and evaluate the most suitable colours. The agreed colour and shape are implanted into the skin using a disposable needle and following an artistically designed and drawn make-up pencil line.
More topical anaesthetic can be applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure.  Afterwards, the pigment colour will be darker and the area treated may be slightly swollen, which is a normal reaction. After a short period the colour will lighten and the swelling will go down. A detailed after-care instruction will be provided for you to take home.
